What makes a photographic print special? The answer is correct mounting,
and there a number of ways to achieve the perfect one!
 |
Flush Mount is a print
mounted onto a board, which is the same size as the print
and frame. As the print surface can not safely be allowed to
contact frame glass, it will have to be laminated and a laminated
print does not need to be behind glass as it is already well
protected.
Protective and Decorative Finishes such as textured
laminates in linen, leather and luster are attractive, as well as
the glossy finish. These laminates fully seal and protect the
mounted print. They are applied under heat and pressure and
permanently bond onto the print surface. |

Canvas Bonding is probably the most popular way to
prepare a print for display. The print is sealed front and back by laminates that
completely seal and protect the print. At the same time the canvas
underneath the print embosses the texture in the pressing.
- Attractive look
- Pleasing feel to touch
- Easy to clean
You have the choice of Laminated Canvas Bonded finishes.
- Canvas on Board which is suitable for all image
styles as it has a subtle low texture effect, and will even
fit slim modern rims.
- Canvas Wrap on Stretchers, as shown here, with
a high texture. These laminated canvas bonded prints can be
displayed without a rim on deep stretchers or framed
conventionally in a deeper molding.
For the purists is our Giclee Canvas - a real Fine Art Finish. This is not a
laminated bonded print, but an image printed directly onto
artists canvas.
